Bridal Beauty // Styled Bridal Shoot | Minneapolis, MN

Photographing a styled shoot has been on my to do list for a while now but it wasn't until early January that I decided to finally set one in motion. The idea of reaching out to other vendors and models and directing a shoot entirely on my own terrified me, but I didn't let it stop me. I was starving to create and eager to step outside of my comfort zone.

As I began to search around for local bridal shops, a&bé bridal shop caught my eye. Originally from Denver, they recently set up shop in October and fit right in with the Minneapolis community. I'm in love with their shop and if you are in the area, I highly suggest peeking inside. The a&bé ladies were generous enough to partner with me on the shoot and lend me two of their stunning dresses. You can find those details below. :)

The two stunning models actually hail from the same small college as I. It's been a pleasure to make some new friends on campus in the process!

The hair salon, makeup artist, and studio space were all located in Hudson, WI, about half an hour out of Minneapolis. Viva Voce Salon is an adorable hair salon located right on main street, and Jaymee was our talented stylist for the day. I'm in love with how Nicole and Jessica's hair turned out. In addition to offering amazing hair styling services, Viva Voce also has a beautiful studio space located above their salon.

Makeup was done by Sonji Steenberg, a freelance make up artist in Hudson, WI. She did a wonderful job enhancing our models' natural beauty!

My vision for this shoot was all about simplicity. I've always been enamored by the graceful beauty of the bride on her wedding day and I wanted to explore that. I love the contrast of Nicole's fiery red hair and brilliant blue eyes with Jessica's stunning natural curls and deep brown features. Every bride has a unique beauty that needs to be celebrated. And that's what I was going for with this shoot. I am so happy with the results and love that I get to share these photos with you! Be sure to check out each and every one of the vendors involved in the shoot - they contributed a lot and I couldn't have done any of this without them.
